Pagliacci Pizza “Nostalgia, Since 1979”

In a city rapidly changing due to the tech boom, Pagliacci Pizza—a Seattle staple since 1979—needed to remind its audience that it isn't just a food chain, but been around to witness the city’s history. In collaboration with Madrona Bureau, as the project’s Art Director, the goal was to bridge the gap between "Old Seattle" and the new generation of residents.

Pizza is the unofficial food of milestones. Whether it was a grunge show in the 90s or a modern-day celebration, Pagliacci has been the constant backdrop for Seattle’s most "awkward" and "celebratory" moments.

"Nostalgia, Since 1979" is a campaign that visually time-travels through Seattle's cultural history. By using era-specific film grains, styling, and lighting, we showcased Pagliacci as a brand that didn't just witness the city’s evolution—it was built on the same "grunge" and grit that defined it.
